Location and Background

2. Chandrahan Lake
Chandrahan lake is a pristine alpine lake, situated at an altitude of around 13,900 feet. From Litham campsite, you’ll cover a small stretch of trail to come across a snout of a waterfall. The lake in question is about an hour away from there.
It is believed to be the origin of the Pabbar river. Formed by melting snow, and surrounded by mountains all around, this lake is a sight to behold. The locals believe the lake to be emanating from the gods.
3. Janglik Village
You’ll be reaching Janglik from Shimla, on the first day of your trek. When you start from here for the Dayara meadows, you’ll see small colorful houses; you’ll witness a lot of other blissful views of the rural life of the locals as you go.
These little glimpses into the region’s daily life are rather very insightful. It’ll provide you with a refreshing break from the usual dullness of the modernized urban world. By Road
HRTC Buses are available for all major cities of Northern India, connecting them to Shimla. From our capital city Delhi, you can board a bus to Shimla from Kashmere Gate. The distance you’ll cover is 340 kilometers.
By Air
Jubbarhatti Airport is 22 km from Shimla. You can book your flights for Delhi and Chandigarh as well, and travel to Shimla by road.
By Railways
We’ll suggest that you book your train to Kalka railway station and take the joyous Toy Train ride to Shimla from there.
