Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek: A Magnificent Trekking Abode
Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek, a trek so magnificent and enduring that you literally won’t feel like returning back to the city life again. Being a mountain lover, I along with my college mates undertook this trek in January and definitely this place proved to be one of the best places on Earth. After searching about various trekking companies, we decided to go on with Trekmunk, as with it, our requirements suited the best. The overall journey was fun, thrilling and just the best!
Day1 — From Rishikesh To The Village Wan
Starting with, we reached the zestful city of Rishikesh by previous night and on early in the morning, we started our excursion on time. It took approximately 10 hours to reach Wan from Rishikesh, covering a distance of 259kms in the meantime.
Day2 — From Wan Village To Ghairoli Paatal
On the second day, we woke up to a brightmorning and freshened up for the activities of the day ahead. That day, we trekked from Wan to Ghairoli Paataal. Ghairoli Paatal was located at an altitude of 10.200 ft and offered anastonishing view of the hill steps of the Kulling Valley from the top. The climb was gradual and wondrous. On our way, we crossed Latu Devta temple, Neelganga river after which we got into thick wild forests where we looked out for rare species of flora and fauna and had a great time, amongst the nature. After covering a distance of approximately 11 km, we reached the campsite in about 5 hours. Upon reaching the camp we enjoyed thelandscape and got some rest for the day.
Day3 — From Ghairoli Paatal To Ali Bedni Bugyal And Back
On the third day, we trekked from Ghairoli Paatal to Ali Bedni Bugyal. As we hiked higher, we were able to catch a clear sight of the grand twin meadows of Ali and Bedni. It is said to be one of the rarest and mostwonderful views of meadows of all time. It was a moderately easy trek through deep oak forests which led us to the opening of the grand vast meadows. These serene meadows appear different indifferent seasons. A swift trek through the forests led us to Ali Bugyal in not more than 6hours. After trekking for almost 8.5 km, we finally reached the top of the ridge, where we admired the breathing nature. The sight was truly soul satisfying.
Day4 — From Gehroli Patal To Wan
On the fourth day, we woke up fresh and prepared for the activities ahead. We trekked from Gehroli Patal to Wan village, that day. Wefirst reached the Neel Ganga which lied close by. The trail from Gehroli Patal to Neel Ganga was thrilling and the trek was easy to moderate with not so steep descends which could be covered in 2 hours atmost. There were many routes that could betaken to trek down. The descend was steep, but thrilling, altogether. This was the laststretch that was covered on foot. Upon reaching Wan, we were driven to Lohajung village. The drivefrom Wan to Lohajung was pleasant and lasted a good 45 minutes covering a distance of 10 kmapproximately. We unpacked, settled down and relaxed in Lohajung for the remaining day.
Day5 — Hike To Monaal Top
On the fifth day, we hiked to a newly explored hike by one of our mountain guide called Monaal Top. The whole day went in hiking and we stayed at Wan for that day.
Day 6 — Back To Rishikesh
On the sixth and the very last day of the trek, we woke up to the last sunrise amongst the mountains and then buckled up to check out of the base camp. We travelled from Wan to Rishikesh, that day. We hopped onto the allotted vehicles and got ready to experience the last part of the excursion after which we would find ourself reaching back to the starting point of our trip, bringing the excursion to an end. The distance between Wanand Rishikesh was 259km and it took approximately 11 hours to reach the same. With a few snack breaks in between, we reached Rishikesh by 8 pm, post which we parted our ways from the fellow trekkers.
